Summary

babyTV is a local-first family app. We do not require a cloud account, and we do not upload children’s profiles, dialogues, or viewing history to ZBENS servers by default.

Data stored on your device

The app may store locally on your device:

• Child nicknames, age-related settings, interests, and parent preferences (sensitive fields such as nickname may be encrypted at rest)
• Dialogue training history, content recommendations feedback, and viewing history
• Crisis keyword alerts and memorable event notes (stored locally for parent review)
• App preferences (for example sync pairing tokens for devices you configure)

Data is stored using on-device storage (SQLite / secure storage / app preferences). Uninstalling the app typically deletes this data unless you previously exported a backup.

Permissions

Depending on platform, the app may request:

• Microphone — for voice dialogue (hold-to-talk)
• Speech recognition — converts speech to text via the system speech recognizer (for example Apple Speech)
• Local network / Bonjour — optional device sync and casting on your home Wi‑Fi

Audio used for speech recognition may be processed by the operating system according to Apple’s (or the device vendor’s) rules. babyTV does not separately upload recordings to ZBENS servers.

Sync and casting

Optional LAN sync exchanges data only between devices you configure (pairing code supported). Optional casting pushes a media URL to a renderer you select on the same network. These flows do not transit ZBENS cloud servers.

Sharing and export

If you use in-app export or the system share sheet, files leave the app under your control. We do not receive those shares.

Third-party services

Core journaling/training features do not require analytics SDKs or ZBENS cloud APIs. System services (speech recognition, text-to-speech) are provided by the OS vendor under their policies.

Children

babyTV is designed for family use with parental involvement. Guardians should manage permissions, screen time, and co-viewing. Please do not enter real school addresses, phone numbers, or other unnecessary personal identifiers for children.

Your choices

• Export local data from within the app
• Delete a child profile and related records (with confirmation)
• Revoke microphone / speech / local-network permissions in system Settings

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
